In 2021 Alcorta acquired a forging plant in New Boston, MI.
Alcorta is looking to add an Industrial Electrical Technician to the team.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems for safety and efficiency Run conduits and pull cable Must have working knowledge of electrical codes Experience with 480 VAC 3 phase motor control systems Experience with electrical voltages from zero to 600 volts Assist in troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical issues.
Hydraulic knowledge a plus Read schematics / diagrams to follow circuits and wiring Thorough knowledge on how to use different hand and diagnostic tools for testing and fixing equipment Familiarity with induction units Must have experience and understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC) Other duties as assigned Essential Function:
Will be proficient at trouble shooting and using critical thinking skills to find root causes and to repair issues, both electrical and mechanical.
Must be able to read blueprints and schematics, and to use a variety of tools and diagnostic devises to service and install electrical parts.
Must have familiarity with programmable logic controllers.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GEDExperience Requirements:
5
years' experience in reading blueprints and schematics.
Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical machine controls up to 600 volts.
Installation and construction of new equipment PLC experience required Recommended Skills Blueprinting Construction Critical Thinking Electrical Codes Hydraulics Problem Solving Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
